Relevant postgraduate degree, or the advertised Direct PhD bachelor route
Eligibility conditions
Ordinary PhD routes generally require a relevant regular/full-time master’s degree with first class and 60% or 6.5/10. Direct PhD engineering routes require 75% or 7.5/10. Discipline, campus and Deep Tech requirements differ; consult the complete eligibility tables.

Exam pattern / marking scheme
Two-hour English CBT, 100 MCQs, +1 correct and no negative marks. Master’s-entry paper: 70 technical, 15 English, 15 statistics/probability; BE/BTech-entry paper: 80 technical, 20 English.

How to apply, step by step
- Register and verify email/mobile, fill personal/education details, pay, capture the photograph, upload signature/certificates/proposal and download the submitted form.
