Minimum qualification
Bachelor/equivalent; Design Education requires its specified master’s route
Eligibility conditions
Regular MDes: recognised bachelor/equivalent. Design Education: master’s in design, or bachelor’s in design plus master’s in any discipline. Foreign qualifications need equivalence. Appearing candidates must complete examinations and clear earlier backlogs by 28 June 2027, pass on first attempt and submit results by 31 July 2027; prescribed undertakings apply.
Age and cutoff
DOB on/after 1 July 1995: General/EWS/overseas; 1 July 1992: Indian OBC-NCL/SC/ST; 1 July 1990: Indian PwD. Design Education cutoffs respectively: 1 July 1992, 1989 and 1987.

- Register under MDes, choose permitted disciplines, complete the form, upload evidence and pay the applicable discipline fees.
Use the authority’s own application flow. Never share passwords, OTPs or payment PINs with us. Official application fees are separate from optional form-help charges.
