Relevant master’s degree or qualifying four-year bachelor route
Eligibility conditions
Master’s: 55% for general/EWS; 50% for specified reserved categories. Four-year bachelor route: 75%, with permitted 5-point relaxation, for JRF/PhD only, not Assistant Professor. Provisional applicants must meet the completion conditions.
Age and cutoff
JRF: maximum 30 on 1 December 2026, with only the bulletin’s permitted relaxations. No upper age for Assistant Professor/PhD-only. · Cutoff: 2026-12-01

Three-hour CBT with Parts A, B and C. Question counts, attempt limits and negative marking differ by science subject; use the paper-specific table in the bulletin.
