Eligibility conditions
Renewal for existing NEC awardees permanently resident in a North Eastern state and continuing their approved course. Family income ceiling ₹8 lakh; promotion and backlog conditions apply. No other scholarship or employed/in-service sponsorship. Integrated-course scope in the linked rules needs clarification.

Annual renewal requires promotion. Backlogs beyond one year, study breaks and changes of course/institution restrict continuation; the documented medical-break exception requires NEC approval.
