Experience / licences
Sr DGM Traction: 15 years private executive or 11 government/PSU executive. DGM Signalling: 10 years private or 8 PSU/metro. Manager Signalling: 9 private or 7 PSU/metro. Assistant Manager Signalling: 7 private or 5 government/PSU/metro. Assistant Manager Rolling Stock: 7 private or 5 government/PSU supervisory. Sr Section Engineers: 6 years relevant work. Section Engineer Rolling Stock: 5 years. Additional pay-scale/CTC conditions in pages 4–5 remain mandatory.
Physical / medical / skill conditions
A-3 medical fitness for Sr Section Engineer and Section Engineer roles; other roles follow the prescribed category.

Salary or benefit and conditions
Role-dependent IDA scale ₹40, 000–1, 25, 000 to ₹80, 000–2, 20, 000; deputation under standard terms; eligible Sr DGM/DGM post-superannuation route ₹1, 00, 000 consolidated monthly.
Selection / assessment process
Shortlisting and personal interview, document verification and prescribed medical fitness. Interview schedule is communicated to shortlisted candidates.

How to apply, step by step
- Register on the GMRC careers portal, select the exact position and upload qualification, experience and pay/CTC proof. Submit by 21 October 2026. Check before submission because the submitted form cannot be edited. Government/PSU applicants must provide NOC and five years APAR as required.
Use the authority’s own application flow. Never share passwords, OTPs or payment PINs with us. Official application fees are separate from optional form-help charges.

Private-sector monthly CTC thresholds: Sr DGM ₹1, 20, 000; DGM ₹1, 00, 000; Manager ₹90, 000; Assistant Manager ₹70, 000; Sr Section Engineer approximately ₹50, 000; Section Engineer approximately ₹45, 000. Government/PSU alternative pay-grade/service routes appear in pages 4–5. Internal candidates need two years at current designation and grade as on 1 October.
