Eligibility conditions
Indian citizens with a recognised bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in a notified food-technology, dairy-technology, biotechnology, oil-technology, agricultural-science, veterinary-science, biochemistry, microbiology, chemistry or medicine route; or a specifically listed allied programme; or the listed medical degrees; or another course expressly recognised by FSSAI with prior Central approval. Course title and recognition must match the official list. Appointment follows the prescribed food-safety training; do not assume any unrelated science degree qualifies.

Category, domicile and PwBD
Reservation benefits require Bihar permanent residence and the appropriate caste/NCL/EWS or other prescribed certificates. Bihar-resident women, notified PwBD and eligible descendants of freedom fighters use horizontal allocations already inside the vacancy total. Do not add horizontal seats to total vacancies. Vertical totals: UR 41; EWS 11; SC 17; ST 2; EBC 18; BC 12; BC women 4 = 105. The 34 women and PwBD allocations are included in 105.

Age relaxations and exceptions
Age cutoff 1 August 2026: at least 21; ordinary upper limit UR men 37, UR women and BC/EBC men or women 40, SC/ST men or women 42. Notification allows 10 years for qualifying disability, 5 years for eligible regular Bihar government servants with at least three continuous years, and military service plus 3 years for ex-servicemen subject to actual age not above 57 at application. Special concessions are not added together: only one notified special route may be used. Reservation benefits and certificate requirements must be assessed separately. This notice does not state the historical-age or contractual-service concessions used in the separate veterinary/fishery advertisements.

Selection / assessment process
CBT, followed by document verification and the notified pre-appointment food-safety training.
Exam pattern / marking scheme
CBT: 100 bilingual objective questions in two hours; normalisation applies if held in multiple shifts. Qualifying thresholds: UR 40%, BC 36.5%, EBC 34%, SC/ST, women and PwBD 32%. Candidates residing outside Bihar must meet 40%, including women and PwBD. Exam dates will be announced separately. Total 100 marks; +1 per correct answer and −0.25 per wrong answer. The notified FSO syllabus is published separately by BTSC; there are no experience weightage marks stated.

- Enter accurate personal and eligibility details, then pay ₹100 plus applicable bank charges.
- Complete Submit Application Form and upload required documents, photograph and signature.
- Submit by 2026-10-24 at 23:55 IST and save the full form and fee receipt. Registration or fee payment alone does not complete submission.
Use the authority’s own application flow. Never share passwords, OTPs or payment PINs with us. Official application fees are separate from optional form-help charges.
Important instructions
Use your own working mobile number and email. No correction after final submission is promised. Preserve originals, a printed submitted form and clear uploaded certificates. Photograph must be recent (within three months), with white background and no glasses; retain at least five copies. Monitor the authority website for exam and document-verification announcements.
