Who can apply?

Minimum qualification

Four-year BFSc

Eligibility conditions

Indian citizens with a four-year Bachelor of Fisheries Science degree from a fisheries college under an agricultural university recognised by ICAR, New Delhi. Required supporting certificates must be issued by 23 October 2026 and uploaded with the form. Reserved benefits require eligible Bihar domicile and prescribed category evidence. Relevant contractual service is optional for experience weight and specified age relief, not an entry requirement. The notification includes a historical-age concession covering 1 August 2020 through 1 August 2026; this must be checked separately.

Age and cutoff

At least 21 on 1 August 2026; ordinary maximum UR men 37, UR women/BC/EBC 40, SC/ST 42. Historical-age and other expressly notified concessions can apply. · Cutoff: 2026-08-01

Experience / licences

Relevant same-post contractual service in Bihar government or notified eligible public institutions attracts up to 25 marks, normally 5 marks per year with proportionate part-year credit. Experience weight is calculated through 24 September 2026. The separate service-length age-relaxation cutoff is 1 August 2026. A prescribed salary-payment certificate from the competent fisheries authority is required; unclaimed experience is not credited.

Category, domicile and PwBD

UR 96; EWS 23; SC 35; ST 2; EBC 41; BC 27; BC women 7 = 231. The table’s 77 women and PwBD/freedom-fighter-descendant allocations are horizontal and already included. Bihar reservation concessions require Bihar domicile and the prescribed evidence.

Read all post-specific conditions in the original notice. A discovery tag or this summary is not an authority-issued eligibility decision or a selection guarantee.

Age relaxations and exceptions

Cutoff 1 August 2026: minimum 21; ordinary maximum UR men 37, UR women 40, BC/EBC men or women 40, SC/ST men or women 42. The notice permits 10-year disability relaxation; qualifying regular Bihar government service gives 5 years; eligible same-post contractual service can give service-length relaxation. Ex-servicemen receive military service plus 3 years subject to actual age not above 57 on application. Clause 2(v) covers candidates within the notified maximum age during 1 August 2020–1 August 2026 or who became over-age during that interval. Only one of the special relaxations listed in clause 2(ii)–(vii) may be used. A generic maximum-age check must not reject someone without considering the applicable clause.
