Minimum qualification
Class V for VI admission; Class VIII for IX admission, completed before admission
Eligibility conditions
Class VI ordinary DOB band: 1 April 2014–31 March 2017; Class IX: 1 April 2011–31 March 2014, inclusive. Class V/VIII completion and medical fitness apply. Only notified KIA wards receive the six-month upper-age relaxation.

Exam pattern / marking scheme
OMR examination, 150 minutes. Class VI tests English, intelligence, mathematics and general knowledge; Class IX uses two papers. Medical and interview stages follow.
