Minimum qualification
SSLC or recognised equivalent; valid motor-boat driving licence and at least three years as Boat Driver.
Eligibility conditions
SSLC/equivalent plus valid motor-boat driving licence and at least three years of boat-driving experience after the basic qualification. Engine knowledge, minor-repair ability and swimming are mandatory. Physical, medical, swimming and practical tests apply. Only one district may be chosen: Thrissur 2 posts or Kozhikode 1. The notice excludes women and differently-abled candidates.
Age and cutoff
25–40; ordinary DOB range 02 Jan 1986–01 Jan 2001. Permitted category relaxations require review.
Experience / licences
At least 3 years as Boat Driver after basic qualifications; valid motor-boat licence throughout selection. Engine-mechanism and minor-repair skills tested practically.
Physical / medical / skill conditions
Height 168 cm (SC/ST 160 cm); chest 81 cm with 5 cm expansion. Swimming: 50 m within 2 minutes AND floating for 2 minutes. PET: qualify 5 of 8 notified events. Uncorrected eyesight: 6/6 distance and 0.5 near per eye; prescribed medical certificates required.

DOB 2 January 1986–1 January 2001 inclusive, before permissible relaxations; maximum relaxed age 50.
Who cannot apply
Women and differently-abled candidates excluded by this notice. Apply for one district only: Thrissur 2 or Kozhikode 1. Existing government holders of the same post cannot reapply.
